Oriental Rugs

Oriental Rugs are hand knotted or hand-woven and made in one of the traditional weaving areas of the Middle or Far East. Oriental design rugs are machine-made reproductions.

Braided Rugs

Braided rugs are constructed of wool fabric, heavy wool rug yarn. A continuous braid may be stitched or laced together into the desired shape. Braided rugs can be reversible.

Flokati Rugs

Flokati rugs have a very fluffy wool pile with very long fibers and look very much like lambs wool.

Dhurrie Rugs

Dhurrie rugs are usually cotton but can be silk and are flat woen un-backed rugs traditionally from India.

Sisal Rugs

True Sisai is a natural fiber derived from the agave sisalana cactus plant. It is stronger and more durable than other natural fibers.

Ingrain Rugs

Ingrain rugs are made of yarn dyed before weaving, and woven so that the pattern is shown on both sides.

Killims Rugs

Killims are flat women rugs with no pile. Kilim rugs are characterized by long, narrow slits in the fabric that are arranged in a stair-step pattern to avoid weakening the rug. They can be reversible.

Navajo (Navaho) Rugs

Authentic Navajo rugs are made out of wool in a tapestry weave. Some twill weaves and basket weaves are common.

Rag Rugs

Rag rugs are sturdy, colorful rugs hand woven from cotton scraps or wool. They are traditionally women on large looms from strips of cloth.

Synthetic Rugs

Synthetic Rugs are typically made of nylon, polyester, and olefin.
